Ever since we were little kids our mom always made sure we had healthy, nutritional meals to eat. You could always look on the refrigerator door and know what meal you were going to have for breakfast, lunch or dinner that week. Our mom is a great cook. Of course we're not biased about that statement :)
Over the years, as we got older and traveled different paths, we tried to to maintain those same healthy eating habits our mom taught us. The world has changed a lot since then and it is harder to find food with basic, real ingredients. Also, over time, several of us found out we were allergic to gluten (aka Celiac disease). Let me tell you, that is a real life changer. Those of you who have food allergies can certainly relate to this.
We got into the business for several different reasons. The biggest one was to help provide people with foods that got back to the basics, in hopes of improving their health at the same time. We picked the horse and buggy as our logo because it takes you back into time when things were very basic. Not only is our goal to provide food with basic, real ingredients but we also want to provide food that tastes good like our mom made for us when we were kids. Not that we don't invite ourselves to dinner at her house still :)
We are a family owned and operated business with a brick and mortar store in Washington, MO. The town of Washington is located on the scenic Missouri River an hour's drive southwest of St. Louis, MO.
You can find the store in Washington Square at the intersection of Hwy 100 & Hwy 47. There is abundant parking for our customers and the location is in the heart of the shopping district.
